BHSE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

These aims and objectives were drawn up in consultation with our tenants and are reviewed regularly.

To provide a safe, high quality, affordable and secure environment for older people to live independently with a team of staff trained to identify and reduce elements of risk.

To offer choice and flexibility to residents within the services offered by the Society. 

To establish social networks through facilitation of leisure activities and educational services.

To promote fair access and diversity in all aspects of the service provided by Bournemouth Housing Society for the Elderly and its staff.

To ensure that residents remain at the heart of the local community through raising awareness of the services available in the area and inviting the community to take part in and provide activities / services within the schemes.

To facilitate the appropriate support to enable tenants to remain living independently in their homes for as long as possible.

To reduce admissions to hospital or length of hospital stay through liaison with other agencies and identification and co-ordination of extra support needs.

To empower residents to have a direct say in the way that their homes and services are managed and to play an active role in the continuous improvement and development of systems and services.
